Lauren Jimerson, PhD
Art Historian and licensed French Guide
Founder of Art with Friends, Lauren Jimerson is an art historian specializing in modern women artists. She holds a PhD from Rutgers University, an MA from the Courtauld Institute, and a BA from Cornell University. Her research has benefited from grants including a Fulbright fellowship. She is the author of the recently published book, Painting Her Pleasure: Three Women Artists and the Nude in Avant-Garde Paris, released by Manchester University Press in 2023. Licensed as a French National Guide, Lauren has fifteen years of experience leading scholarly tours in Paris, Rome, and beyond.
Kiersten Thamm, PhD
Art Historian, Design Scholar and Berlin Guide
Dr. Kiersten Thamm researches and interprets modern and contemporary Berlin for visitors from across the globe. Her tours bring people into conversation with the fascinating history of art and politics that created the dynamic, creative city we know today. With a PhD from the University of Delaware, Kiersten researches the manufacturing, use, and interpretation of art, design, and architecture in Europe and the US after 1851, focusing on the politics and politicization of modern materials. Fluent in German and French, she has been living in Berlin for a decade and knows the city's most spell-binding art, design and culinary secrets.
Cristina Gregorin, PhD
Literary Scholar and licensed Venice Guide
A licensed Venetian guide since 1991 and best-selling author, Cristina enriches audiences through her unique blend of scholarly insight and storytelling. With a PhD from the University of Düsseldorf focusing on Venice in literature, Cristina has contributed her expertise in art and history to UNESCO and in Venice Heritage to the Council of Europe. Her notable works include Venice Master Artisans and Die Gärten von Venedig, which explore the artistry and hidden gardens of Venice. Her debut novel, L'ultima testimone (2020), became a best-seller in Italy. Her ability to weave the rich and enigmatic Venetian history into captivating stories was recognized in her TEDxSanMarco talk.
